Description: A study of modern digital communication systems. Topics include modulation techniques for digital transmission of data, error detection and correction, data compression techniques, Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), etc. Topics in digital communication related to wired and wireless transmission media, along with fiber optics will be discussed. Topics in high speed switched networks will be introduced.
