| Description: | Not open to students who have taken ENGL 103 in other divisions of the University. The second semester of the first-year composition sequence. Students practice critical reading and thinking, and arguing a thesis in clear and effective prose. The course also involves preparation of at least two research papers. Students who receive an "A" in English 101 may, with their school's approval, substitute an elective course in English for English 102, if English 102 is required. |
