Description: This course introduces the vocabulary of visual arts in the twentieth century. Major movements are briefly introduced with characteristic works. Painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, computer graphics, video, and environmental and performance art in the past three decades are emphasized. Required of all Foundation Program students. Not counted toward the major or minor requirements in art history. May be counted under electives.
