Description: The application of industrial control components (relays, motor starters, etc.) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in both discrete and continuous automated manufacturing environments. The theory of operation and selection of common industrial control components is explored. Students learn to design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems. An introduction to closed loop control systems is included.
