Short Title: Stress And The Family
Description: This course is intended to acquaint students with major concepts from research, theoretical and clinical work in the area of family stress. In addition to several theoretical models of the process through which families move in their experience and resolution of stressful events, the course will address stress as an experience of individual family members. Important aspects of the family's experience of stress are social support and coping in a family context, and these concepts will receive special consideration.
