Description: This course is a synthesis of nursing practice and public health science. Health promotion, health maintenance, health teaching and counseling, and coordination of care are utilized in providing population-focused care to individuals, families, and groups in the community. A select caseload of clients, as well as special projects, are assigned to develop student skills in the practice of public health nursing.
