Description: This survey course examines the principles, practices and outcomes of select alternative healing and complementary therapies The influences of diverse cultural groups, from both the West and East, are examined in relationship to healing practices. Students will apply evidence-based criteria, including research findings from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)- National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, to evaluate the risks end benefits of selected modalities.
