Description: Building on the previous curricular concepts this course focuses on principles of health promotion, health maintenance, health restoration and palliation specifically applied to the pediatric patient. Students further develop critical thinking skills by planning developmentally appropriate patient and family centered care. Students utilize best available evidence when implementing the nursing process with pediatric patients and their families.
