Description: This course will acquaint the student with chemical process equipment, its use, and its applications. It focuses study on the principles, materials, systems of equipment, and some of the problems involved in chemical manufacturing processing. Chemical plant operations such as filtration, evaporation, drying, crystallization, solvent extraction, distillation, and fluid handling are described and discussed.
