Description: A critical examination of the design, implementation, and effects of interventions to promote young children's developmental competence, with a particular focus on children at risk due to poverty, disability, and language. There is attention to theoretical and empirical bases for intervention, to intervention type and context (home, center), and to evaluation of intervention effectiveness. Prerequisite: CDFS 60100 and Concurrent Prerequisite: CDFS 61500.
