Description: The course will cover biology career information and features in-depth presentations from biology alumni from a variety of fields. Students will investigate whether research is right for them, learn about research opportunities in and out of the department, and tour research labs. Students will hear from faculty about upper-level biology courses and options. Students will update their Plan of Study and their resume, and write a short paper responding to one of the alumni presentations. This course is offered for a grade and is applicable as free elective credit for biology majors. This course will help students maximize the remainder of their undergraduate career.
