Description: | Principles and practices for diagnosing and managing diseases, insects and abiotic disorders of woody and herbaceous ornamental plants and turf offered at the graduate level. Designed for graduate students interested in urban forestry, horticulture and turf management who want a one semester course on integrated plant health management. This course moves beyond ENTM/BTNY 446 to explore the scientific, political, and economic basis behind popular plant health management trends. Students will be expected to prepare a publication-grade extension brief, in addition to developing a case-study that compares and contrasts popular management strategies. |
