Description: Discussion of qualitative and quantitative analysis of biological compounds including pH measurement and control, spectrophotometry, measurement of radioactivity; theoretical basis of various separation techniques, including chromatography and electrophoresis; application of these methods to separation and analysis of biological compounds. Laboratory sessions will provide practical experience in the use of these methods. This course is designed for biochemistry majors.
