Description: Industrial robots and general motion control systems as they apply to the automated manufacturing environment are addressed. Topics include: robot classifications and programming, end-of-arm tooling, operation simulation, safety considerations, and robot vision systems and sensors. Students are introduced to general motion control through the application of stepper motor technology, servo motor technology, and feedback devices.
