Description: This course introduces basic concepts in the development of an electronic product prototype. The student develops an electronic device by utilization of: electronic design automation (EDA), design for testing (DFT), surface mount technology (SMT), design for manufacturability (DFM), component characteristic selection techniques, and basic failure predictions. The final prototype is presented in a written and/or oral report.
