Description: This course is an introduction to the computer language C. The topics of the course include: data types, operators, expressions, control statements, function and program structure, pointers and arrays, structures, input and output standard and mathematical libraries and preprocessors. The course shall also include an introduction to the object oriented ideas of C++ (an expanded version of the C language). Programs illustrating one or more of the elementary concepts, including two programs of significant length and difficulty, will be required.
