Short Title: Molec Cytogenetics Lab
Description: Application of principles from Molecular Cytogenetics. Lab consists of chromosome preparation from mitotic/meiotic samples, identification of meiotic stages, chromosome banding, fluorescence in situ hybridization, and preparation of dipteran polytene chromosomes. Students are encouraged to bring samples from their own thesis research to use as test samples for molecular analysis. Offered in odd-numbered years.
