December 10, 2015

MERRILLVILLE, Ind. and CHICAGO - Legacy Environmental Services Inc., will promote green initiatives by launching a new radio program on WIMS Radio AM 1420 on Friday (Dec. 11).

Carl Lisek, vice president of Legacy Environmental Services, said "The Green Radio Network" will strengthen the company's ability to promote the use of green, clean activities and practices by businesses, industries, municipalities and schools.

"Outreach will always be a key strength of Legacy Environmental Services. My wife, Lorrie, and I attend dozens of energy-related meetings each year with our members and colleagues. We have expanded our presence on social media channels like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube," he said. "Creating 'The Green Radio Network' enhances organizations' understanding of green projects and programs while speaking on all their benefits."

The first program will be at 1 p.m. CT Friday and will feature the Drive Clean Chicago Voucher Program, a City of Chicago initiative that provides incentives to fleets for the purchase of clean vehicle technologies and alternative fuel infrastructure. The radio program can be streamed live at www.wimsradio.com

"Samantha Bingham, environmental policy analyst for the Chicago Department of Transportation, and Tom Brotherton, regional director for CALSTART, will discuss the $14 million Drive Clean Chicago program and how it can benefit fleets and promote sustainability in Chicago," Lisek said.

Legacy Environmental Services is based in the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana.
