WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," the seven-time Tony-nominated musical, will be presented on Oct. 16 in Elliott Hall of Music. The 7:30 p.m. performance is present by Purdue Convocations with Friends support from Regions Financial Corp.
"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" is the family musical about the trials and triumphs of Joseph. The first collaboration of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber ("Jesus Christ Superstar," "Phantom of the Opera," and "Cats") and lyricist Tim Rice ("Jesus Christ Superstar" and "The Lion King"), "Joseph" blends pop, country and rock into a technicolored story.
Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colors, the musical is full of memorable songs including "Those Canaan Days," "Any Dream Will Do" and "Close Every Door."
