'American Sniper' screening for annual Movie on the Hill

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Purdue Student Union Board's annual Movie on the Hill will feature "American Sniper" at 9 p.m. on April 25 at Slayter Hill. The event is free and open to the public with concessions available to attendees.

"American Sniper," directed by Clint Eastwood, depicts the story of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, played by Bradley Cooper. The movie is based on the autobiography of the same name and shows Kyle's experiences during his time in the United States military and his deployments. It was awarded Best Director and One of the Year's Best Films by the National Board of Review.

The movie showing is part of Purdue's Grand Alternative week of events. In case of rain, the movie will be held in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall.

Purdue Student Union Board has served the Purdue student body since 1921, providing a variety of programs and services.
