March 2, 2015

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. —More than 60 schools and organizations from throughout the United States, the Caribbean and England will participate in Purdue University's annual health professions expo March 9.

The fair will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center.

The event, sponsored by Pre-Professional Advising at the Center for Career Opportunities, is free and open to students and community members interested in health-related careers. No registration is required.

Those attending will be able to meet directly with health admissions officials who make decisions about entry to programs. Representatives from more than 25 fields including medical, dental, public health, physical therapy, pharmacy and veterinary schools will be in attendance as well as organizations offering other health-related programs.

Also at the expo will be the U.S. Army Healthcare Team, which will bring the components of its mobile rapid assembly shelter for field use. Army professionals will be available to answer questions and demonstrate the equipment.
