INDIANAPOLIS - People who own dogs and cats now have an option to feed their pets natural dietary supplements that have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties to help improve their pets' overall health and were developed under scientific study and evaluation.

DSTest Laboratories has developed two dietary supplements under the 4PetsHealth brand: a natural anti-aging product and a natural anti-inflammatory product. These vegetarian supplements are available in capsule form at http://www.4pets-health.com.

Daniel Sliva, Ph.D., founder of DSTest Laboratories, said the 4PetsHealth supplements have been tested for anti-inflammatory activity and anti-cancer activity in cells. He said the first products, 4PH-ImmuneHealth and 4PH-Longevity, were developed after he had tested different natural extracts. Two other products are being developed, 4PH-BreastHealth and 4PH-ImmuneSupport.

"The Food and Drug Administration does not require dietary supplements to be tested in clinical trials. Manufacturers can make health claims, structure and function claims, and nutrient content claims without being required to test for them," Sliva said. "Pet owners are interested in high-quality supplements for their pets, which is why DSTest Laboratories has developed the 4PetsHealth brand: to provide high-quality, scientifically evaluated dietary supplements."

Sliva said DSTest Laboratories is looking for partners to market and sell the supplements. He also is in contact with veterinarians to conduct follow-up tests for publication.

"We want to work with established professionals who are able to put our products on the market," he said. "Additional studies with veterinarians could lead to publications in peer-review veterinary journals, which would confirm the beneficial activity in pets."

DSTest Laboratories is a tenant in the Purdue Research Park of Indianapolis.

About DSTest Laboratories LLC

DSTest Laboratories was founded in 2014 to help consumers and manufacturers of nutraceuticals and dietary supplements in their selection of the best high-quality and functional supplements. The market for human and pet nutraceuticals and dietary supplements is enormous; however, without proper regulation and required testing for the functional biological analyses and chemical composition, these supplements might not have any of their claimed nutritious effects. As a result, proper and rigorous scientific testing is necessary.
