November 3, 2014

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University's Women in Engineering Program, in collaboration with the Tippecanoe County Public Library, will showcase its afterschool outreach program - Imagination, Innovation, Discovery and Design (I2D2) - during a Nov. 15 open house.

The open house is free and open to girls and boys in grades K-8. It will be held at the main library at 627 South St. in Lafayette.

Students and their families may come any time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to explore the open engineering exhibits. A separate, hands-on family activity session will explore basic engineering concepts under the guidance of engineering students.  Families can choose either an 11a.m. or noon session.

Pre-registration is required only for those planning to bring a group of more than eight children. Children must be under parental supervision during the event.
