Purdue Convocations announces its 2014-15 season

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Convocations' 2014-15 season, will feature more than 30 events, including an array of Broadway musicals, lectures, plays and concerts.

Season highlights include Broadway shows such as "Mamma Mia!," "Beauty and the Beast," "Sister Act," "Peter and the Starcatcher" as well as Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, Béla Fleck and Brooklyn Rider, and Brian Greene.

The 2014-15 season also features a wide range in programming including: an opening night dance party featuring Buenos Aires sensation La Yegros; 3 Stories High: A Downtown Theatre Collection; Fieldwork: Jayme Stone with "The Lomax Project" Residency; Chris Potter Underground; The Klezmatics' "Happy Joyous Hanukkah" and several notable lectures.

In addition to scheduled public performances, thousands of students from preschool through high school also will attend a series of matinees and artist-in-residence activities that will be brought to schools during the 2014-15 season. These events are open to all schools, and a complete list can be found at www.convocations.org.

Buying schedule

May 22 through June 13: Friends of Convocations Presale. Friends of Convocations are seated before the general public with the priority points system. Orders must be received by June 13 for both PICK5 and single tickets. Not a Friend of Convocations? Visit convocations.org/donate to join today or call 765-494-9712.

July 1-11: PICK 5 Presale. Buy five shows or more and save an average of 15 percent off single ticket prices. If you're not a Friend of Convocations, you can place your PICK 5 order beginning at 10 a.m. on July 1.

July 14 at 10 a.m.: All tickets go on sale. If you're not a Friend of Convocations or a PICK 5 buyer, you can place your single ticket order beginning at 10 a.m. on July 14. Discounted tickets also are available for groups of 10 or more.
