Purdue's graduate programs ranked by U.S.News

Purdue University's programs in engineering, education and business have been ranked among the best in the country in U.S.News & World Report's graduate school rankings released March 11.
Programs ranked this year include:
Engineering: Purdue's College of Engineering was ranked No. 8 in the country, tied with the University of Michigan.
Seven engineering disciplines were in the nation's top 10 in specialty rankings, including a No. 1 ranking for agricultural and biological engineering. Aeronautics and astronautics ranked fifth, tied with Georgia Institute of Technology; civil engineering ranked sixth, tied with Massachusetts Institute of Technology; industrial engineering ranked eighth, tied with Virginia Tech; and computer engineering ranked ninth, tied with the University of Texas. Ranking 10th were electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
Education: Purdue's College of Education ranked 38th.
Business: Krannert School of Management ranked 40th. Among specialty rankings, Krannert's production/operations program ranked seventh and its supply chain/logistics program ranked 10th.
Additional programs ranked this year include:
Biological Sciences: Purdue's Department of Biological Sciences ranked 55th, tied with Arizona State University, Brandeis University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Stony Brook University-SUNY, University of California-Santa Cruz, University of Florida, University of Iowa, University of Maryland-College Park, the University of Massachusetts, University of Oregon, University of Southern California and University of Utah.
Chemistry: Purdue's Department of Chemistry ranked 21st, tied with Penn State University and the University of California-San Diego. In specialty rankings, Purdue was ranked No. 1 in analytical chemistry.
Computer Science: Purdue's Department of Computer Science was ranked 20th, tied with Brown University, Rice University, University of Southern California and Yale University.
Mathematics: Purdue's Department of Mathematics ranked 28th, tied with Georgia Institute of Technology, Ohio State University, Penn State University, Rice University and University of North Carolina.
Physics: Purdue's Department of Physics was ranked 44th, tied with Florida State University, Texas A&M University, University of Rochester, University of Virginia and Washington University in St. Louis.
Statistics: Purdue's Department of Statistics was ranked 24th, tied with Cornell University and University of Minnesota.
Online Engineering: Purdue's online graduate degree program in engineering was ranked No. 6.
