Women in Engineering to hold open house for grades K-8

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University's Women in Engineering Program will showcase its afterschool outreach program, Imagination, Innovation, Discovery and Design (I2D2), during a Nov. 16 open house.

The program is free and open to girls and boys in grades K-8. It will be held in Hampton Hall of Civil Engineering, rooms 2118 and 2123.

Students and their families may come any time from 9 a.m. to noon to explore the open exhibits. Students and families will be able to participate in hands-on activities at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. The activities will explore basic engineering concepts under the guidance of engineering students.

No pre-registration is required. Children must be under parental supervision during the event.
