Deactivated student organizations can regain status
October 11, 2013
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's Student Activities and Organizations Office announced the list of organizations and clubs whose records have become outdated.
Beginning this fall, organizations were required to register on BoilerLink and attend the required Student Organizations Development Workshops by Sept 16. Organizations that failed to meet these requirements are being deactivated.
Loss of privileges due to deactivation include an inability to hold events, schedule rooms on campus, apply for grants and funding, lack of access to organization funds in the business office of Student Organizations, a loss of access for encumbrances, loss of bus rental privileges, and the ineligibility for awards and recognitions.
Deactivated organizations will have an opportunity to regain activation on Feb. 3 by registering and completing required workshops. Presidents and treasurers of these organizations can begin attending the required workshops in November. Officers of these organizations who have questions about their status and completing the reactivation requirements can contact Student Activities and Organizations in Schleman Hall, Room 250, by calling 765-494-1231 or emailing sao@purdue.edu.
