College of Veterinary Medicine names 2013 distinguished alumni

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine recently honored the recipients of its 2013 Distinguished Alumnus Awards.
The college awarded the distinction to Michael Andrews and Craig Wardrip.
* Andrews, of Riverside, Calif., owns the Woodcrest Veterinary Clinic. He has served in leadership positions in several veterinary medicine organizations, including the presidency of the American Animal Hospital Association. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1983.
* Wardrip, of Palos Heights, Ill., co-owns the Crestwood Animal Clinic with his wife and classmate Sue. He became board-certified by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine and is associate professor of clinical surgery and chief of the Large Animal Clinical Services at the University of Chicago.
