Renowned Animal Expert Jack Hanna to Visit Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Animal expert Jack Hanna will host "Jack Hanna's Into the Wild" at 3 p.m. on Oct. 21 in Purdue University's Loeb Playhouse.

This performance is presented by Purdue Convocations with Friends Support from Purdue Federal Credit Union. The performance also includes pre-show activities provided by the Columbian Park Zoo at 2 p.m. in the Stewart Center west lobby.

Animal expert and host of TV's "Jack Hanna's Into the Wild" and "Jack Hanna's Wild Countdown," Hanna showcases some of his exotic, furry and feathered animal friends from all parts of the world on stage. There also will be video clips and bloopers from his TV shows, and you can hear about his adventures as well as about endangered animals from around the world. 

In addition to his nationally syndicated TV show, "Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures," Hanna has appeared on the "Late Show with David Letterman," "Good Morning America" and "Larry King Live."

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children 18 years and younger, Purdue students and Ivy Tech Lafayette students. Tickets are available at the Elliott Hall and Stewart Center box offices at 765-494-3933 or 800-914-SHOW.

Initiated in 1902, Purdue Convocations was one of the first professional performing arts presenters in the United States. Each year, Convocations offers the region 20-30 performances of widely varying genres. Purdue Convocations aims to promote frequent exposure to and familiarity with human cultural expression in a multitude of forms and media.
