WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - For one night only, the Purdue Varsity Glee Club and the Indianapolis Men's Chorus will become one voice.
"We're excited to showcase these very talented and very different ensembles," said William Griffel, director of Purdue Musical Organizations and the Purdue Varsity Glee Club. "I'm thrilled to show our students that you can continue to participate with music and the arts beyond your experience with the Glee Club."
The two vocal ensembles will take the stage together at 7:30 p.m., Oct. 12 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 515 W. State. St., West Lafayette. Each ensemble will perform independently then join together for a grand finale.
"This will be the first-ever joint collaboration for the Indianapolis Men's Chorus," said Greg Sanders, artistic director of the Indianapolis Men's Chorus and former assistant director and accompanist of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club. "We have several Varsity Glee Club alumni in our ranks, and we look forward to sharing the stage with Purdue."
Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door and $5 for students. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Indianapolis Men's Chorus website, http://www.indychoruses.org/
