Purdue to offer Six Sigma training in Jasper
October 2, 2012
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center will offer Six Sigma training programs in Jasper starting Nov. 12.
Six Sigma is a customer-focused waste and variation reduction program. It combines a detailed roadmap with powerful statistical tools to attack and resolve most critical business issues. Successful Six Sigma projects produce measurable results and help increase a company's skills in process optimization and continuous improvement.
With Six Sigma training, employees learn to make decisions based on data. They are trained to look at the business from a customer's perspective. And the training can lead to a culture change in how employees approach their jobs.
Six Sigma training will be held at Vincennes University-Jasper campus. Six Sigma Green Belt costs $2,000 per person and runs Nov. 12-13 and 19-20 and Dec. 3-4. Six Sigma Black Belt costs $3,000 per person and runs Nov. 12-13 and 19-20; Dec. 3-4, 10-11 and 17-18; and Jan. 9-10.
