Together, we can Protect Purdue.

The Honors College and Learning Communities are distinct but complementary.

Participation in both is not only possible, but can also enhance the overall experience of students who attend Purdue University. Students who have accepted an invitation to the Honors College are welcome to apply for any Learning Community for which they are eligible (i.e. designated college, major or university-wide eligibility). These eligibility requirements are listed on each individual Learning Community profile page; from the overall Profiles page, students can simply click on the college/school to which they have been admitted to see the appropriate options.

IMPORTANT HOUSING INFORMATION!

Incoming students who are invited and have accepted their invitation to the Honors College will receive an Honors housing assignment, likely in the Honors College & Residences.  Some learning communities require living in a specific residence hall.  First year Honors College students are not eligible for those learning communities, but are eligible for all other learning communities that line up with their college/school and/or major.  Returning Honors College students may live where they choose and so they are eligible for residentially required learning communities.

As a reminder, for incoming students a housing contract must be signed by May 5 for those who intend to live on-campus, regardless of their status with the Honors College.

Housing Contract

Questions regarding completing a Housing Contract should be directed to University Residences at (765) 494-1000.

First-year admission to the Honors College is by invitation.

Invited students must accept the Honors College invitation online via MyPurdue by the firm deadline set by the Honors College.

Incoming Honors College students who live on campus are required to live in the Honors College and Residences. (See above.)
