    • EMG volunteers can send their training completion email or screenshot from Ideal-Logic to their EMG Coordinator.
  • Volunteers must register in Ideal-Logic (online system managed by Office of VP for Ethics and Compliance).

  • Purdue EMG volunteers serving as “Session Contacts” for registered youth events will be required to complete the “Program Director Training” in addition to the “Program Staff Training”.
    • This training is also completed in Ideal-Logic and can be found on the: Youth Protection website.

  • Both trainings are valid for 2 years.

Checking your training completion compliance

  • The system does NOT send expiration notifications for Program Staff training, unless the individual is listed on a current event, and it expires during the event.
  • The system tracks training only for those involved in current events/programs. If someone completed training two years ago and no longer participates in a youth program, the system would not require them to renew their training.
  • Those who are interested in checking on their training expiration date can complete the following steps.
    • Step 1: Log in to Purdue University Protection of Minors Portal (ideal-logic.com)
    • Step 2: Click on “View All Requirements” under “Your Compliance”

Note about required text for programs open to the public and not registered with Purdue Youth Protection:

  • If a program is open to the general public, targets adults, or targets family units, it will not be registered with Youth Protection.
  • For these types of programs, include this statement at registration or on promotional materials: “Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.”

Purdue EMG’s are to contact their EMG County Coordinator to ask questions about this training.

More information about the policy can be found on the Youth Protection website.
