Bunium alpinum


Tunisia: tubers are roasted preferably on wood carbon, in an oven or in ashes. If not sufficiently cooked, the resin may cause gastro-intestinal disorders. It is also boiled in salt water and seasoned with oil and spices.  (q.v.)
