About Training
Clinical topics include risk factors for developing substance use, the neurobiological mechanisms of addiction, such as the reward system, and the principles of trauma-informed care. The course also covers a multi-disciplinary approach to substance use focused on collaboration with a variety of team members. Policies that affect practice and advocacy are also addressed.
