Spring Fest - April 6-7, 2019 Purdue University College of Health and Human Sciences

Spring Fest is a free, university-wide event showcasing Purdue University and features fun activities for the whole family.

It’s a great way for students of any age to enjoy interactive, hands-on activities — including the legendary Bug Bowl, the Horticulture Show, Health and Human Sciences activities, and more. Plan your visit today.

The following activities take place in Lyles-Porter Hall.
Parking is available in Harrison Street Parking Garage.

Children’s Obstacle Course

Children of all ages are welcome to participate in a fund physical challenge. Participants will have an opportunity to test their dynamic balance & agility, muscular strength & endurance, flexibility, and eye/hand coordination as they walk, skip, jump, hop, climb, kick, lift, throw, crawl, and run through the Purdue obstacle.

Psychology Treatment and Research Clinics: “Brains and Behavior”

Join the Clinical Psychology students for fun activities about the way we think and feel! Try out tricky puzzles about how we see things, test your will power, and play games about feelings. All ages can participate in interactive learning about our brains and behavior.

Public Health

Public Health Student Association

A team of Purdue MPH students plan to provide mindfulness-related activities to help introduce the benefits of mindfulness/wellness behaviors. There will be coloring activities, a yoga station and fun giveaways for the participants. We will be handing out buttons that have education material attached to it. The Purdue MPH station is family friendly and offers participants that chance to learn and have fun.

Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences

National Student Speech Language Hearing Association

Join Purdue’s National Speech, Language, and Hearing Association as we play tongue twister at the beach!

Purdue Infant-Child Language and Speech Research Group (PICLS)

PICLS research explores fundamental questions regarding early speech and language development at Purdue. Stop by our group to learn more about what we do! We will have bubbles, games, and balloons too! 

Speech Language Hearing Science Child Speech & Language Researchers

We study how kids learn to talk. See what your voice looks like on a computer! Have a funny “stand-in” photo taken with a mouth (speech), brain (language), or ear (hearing). You’ll receive the photo along with a cool magnetic frame. Play games like Hula Hoop Hop and Rhyme Time! Parents, you can find out more about our year-round research with kids as well as our summer programs for children with speech and language delays, and autism.

Student Academy of Audiology

Lend us your ears! Purdue Student Academy of Audiology (Purdue SAA) is offering fun and interactive ear-related activities. Color an expandable ear, learn about ear wax, and experiment with sound.
