Description

The VACCINE Center, VIPER Lab, and Dr. Shu-Ching Chen from Florida State University have been attending LaunchBox sessions held at the Purdue Research Foundation by Juliana Casavan. LaunchBox consists of three-hour workshops held weekly for six weeks. The classes focus on assisting the teams in marketing various tools created. The tools include:

·         The Visualization and Law Enforcement Toolkit (VALET)

·         The Social Media Analytics and Reporting Toolkit (SMART)

·         Visual Be On the Lookout (vBOLO)

·         The Mobile Emergency Response Guide (MERGE)

·         Coast Guard Search and Rescue Visual Analytics (cgSARVA)

·         the Multimedia-Aided Disaster Information Integration System (MADIS)

Participants partake in exercises to showcase target markets sought after, customer needs and drives, and various methods to make their tools successful if they were to launch in the marketplace.
