Cultivating Knowledge: An Open Forum on Agrarian Change, Political Ecology, and Rural Wellbeing

This workshop will feature several speakers discussing their research on agrarian change and rural health/wellbeing, including an open discussion and planning period. The event will culminate with a colloquium talk by Dr. Mark Nichter on community outreach in Cameroon, Africa.

Schedule of events:

12:30-2:00: 15 minute overview presentations of response pieces by workshop participants (open to anthropology faculty and guests) 

2:00-3:30: Open discussion and planning period for workshop collection and public facing piece, with contributions encouraged from interested anth faculty and guests 

4:00-5:15: Colloquium talk, Dr. Mark Nichter, University of Arizona:  “Creating a Buruli Ulcer community of practice in Bankim Cameroon as a model for community outreach in Africa.”
