The Collaborative Robotics Lab(CRL) focuses mainly on robotics in the field of safety, search and rescue. Our research interests are broad and include developing full robotic systems, computer architectures for robotic systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, flexible electronics, and programming by human demonstration. Our lab is located in MGL 1310 and we are always happy to entertain visitors, so come on by!

Current Events

  • Humanoid Robot Design Challenge. Click here for more information.
  • The CRL attended IROS 2014 in October to present a conference paper on ReFrESH, click here to view the paper. Yanzhe Cui and Josh Lane also recorded a brief overview of the ReFrESH and MOTHERSHIP projects while at IROS which can be accessed here.
  • Dr. Voyles will be addressing the AUVSI Meeting in Tysons Corner, VA on US Robotics and Innovation.
  • Dr. Voyles has been invited to speak at ICDCN 2015 in Goa, India in early January. He will be discussing the increasing need for self adaptation in distributed systems as we move into an age of massive connectivity and how this relates to the search and rescue robotics applications being developed within the lab.
