PUID Assignment
A PUID is assigned to each person
who has an official relationship with the University, as recorded in data from the
Office of the Registrar and the Personnel Services office.
Other PUIDs may be assigned, when records are entered into
the I2A2 PUID Oracle
database, depending on the nature of the person's relationship to Purdue.
PUID Assignment Rules
While the infrastructure is in
place to make new entries in the I2A2 PUID Oracle database from other than official
University data streams, the rules under which that can be done have not yet been
determined.
