Purdue Career Account: Password

Your password provides the first line of defense from unauthorized access to your Purdue Career Account. It is important to choose a strong password and change it on a regular basis.

All faculty, staff, and students are required to change their password at least twice per year (every 180 days). Faculty and staff with additional privileges may be required to change their password every ninety days.

To change your Purdue Career Account password:

  • Go to the change password web page and follow the instructions.
  • Visit the ITaP Customer Service Center on the main floor of the Humanities, Social Science, and Education Library (HSSE) - Stewart Center 135. Be sure to bring a photo ID with you. If you are not on campus but need assistance, contact information for ITaP Customer Service Center can be found at their site.
  • Contact your departmental computing support staff for assistance in changing your password.

Your new password will be applied to all services using the Purdue Career Account, including OnePurdue, MyPurdue, ITaP instructional labs, Webmail, Exchange email, and wireless access. See the Accounts List for a list of services you may access.
