Fall Presidential Lecture Series to begin Tuesday with Garry Kasparov

Garry Kasparov, former chess world champion and founder of the Renew Democracy Initiative, will join President Mitch Daniels at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 14) in Stewart Center's Loeb Playhouse and on livestream to discuss democracy in the 21st century.

U.S. News rankings: Purdue again among top 10 ‘Most Innovative Schools’ in nation

The Data Mine, Equity Task Force, Purdue Polytechnic High Schools, new industry partnerships, Transformative Education 2.0 and a continued focus on accessibility and affordability. For these initiatives and more, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Purdue among the top 10 Most Innovative Schools in the nation for the fourth consecutive year. Released today (Sept. 13), the newest rankings show Purdue in the eighth spot among Most Innovative. The University leads all Big Ten schools and is tops in the state of Indiana.

Purdue plans in-person, virtual events to celebrate Homecoming 2021

Purdue University will welcome alumni and friends back to campus on Oct. 2 for Homecoming 2021, themed "Giant Leaps Home." To maximize participation, the University will combine virtual and in-person events for a weeklong celebration leading up to that day’s football game at Ross-Ade Stadium.

Faculty, staff win prizes for choosing to get COVID-19 vaccination

Carina Olaru (in photo), director of the Latino Cultural Center, didn’t think twice about getting the COVID-19 vaccine. For doing her part in helping Protect Purdue, Olaru is among the 50 Purdue faculty and staff members who won prizes as part of the University's employee COVID-19 vaccination incentive drawing.

Purdue Theatre to open season with ‘Sweat’

The Purdue University Department of Theatre is presenting “Sweat” by Lynn Nottage, directed by William P. Caise, as the first production of the 2021-22 theatre season. This production will be offered both in person and virtually Sept. 24-Oct. 3.
