Purdue trustees approve 2022 health plans; no employee premium increase for third straight year

Purdue University’s Board of Trustees on Friday (Aug. 6) approved 2022 health plans, which will have no employee premium increase for the third straight year. The plans for 2022 align with the University’s strategic approach to health care and the Healthy Boiler Program initiative, and were designed as part of the ongoing pursuit of improving population health and controlling overall costs for employees and the University.

Board OKs major renovations to Schleman Hall for data science expansion, Stewart Center for student services

Purdue University’s Board of Trustees on Friday (Aug. 6) gave approval to plan, finance, construct and award construction contracts for renovations to two buildings on the West Lafayette campus – Schleman Hall of Student Services and Stewart Center.

Daniels reports end-of-year data

In his presentation to the Board of Trustees, President Mitch Daniels provided an end-of-the-academic-year report on COVID-19 and various initiatives. New data show that the University broke records for the number of U.S. patents awarded, licenses issued and research and sponsored program dollars received. Summer enrollment and retention also continue to reach University highs.
