Moonshine Mason concert

Concerts, suppers at the Union
to perk up July's Wednesdays

The summertime pleasure of food and live music at Purdue Memorial Union is returning Wednesday (July 10) for the start of a four-week series. The Union will offer favorite picnic-type foods starting at 5:30 p.m. on July 10, 17, 24 and 31, and area favorite performers will strike up the music in free concerts from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Purdue to manage faculty activities data with Digital Measures

Like many peer and Committee on Institutional Cooperation institutions, Purdue is implementing an online information management tool from Digital Measures to organize, manage and report on faculty activities and CV data.

Purdue receives $1.2 million to study large aging population with multiple chronic conditions

A Purdue professor has received a $1.2 million grant from the National Institute of Aging to study why some older adults living with two or more chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes or heart problems, are more likely than others to succumb to the effects of aging.

Purdue has signed partnership agreements with China's Nanshan Group and Tsinghua University.

The state of Indiana could develop a more diverse, robust economy in the future thanks to 50 high school students who learned about the entrepreneurial process during a weeklong academy held at Purdue.

Publication helps homeowners identify, repair tree damage

Wave after wave of summer storms has battered trees in Indiana and other Midwest states. The extent of damage done to branches and trunks will determine whether the tree can heal on its own, a homeowner can make repairs themselves or if a professional arborist needs to be brought in, says Purdue Extension's urban forestry specialist.
