Purdue Today will reduce its publishing schedule May 10 through Aug. 13. Regular publishing days during the summer will be Monday and Thursday. Daily publication will resume Aug. 16.

Purdue celebrates Arbor Day

Purdue celebrated Arbor Day on Friday with the planting of a new horse chestnut tree at the northwest corner of Smith Hall. Purdue's first Arbor Day celebration came in the wake of the University's recent designation as a Tree Campus USA, an honor that recognizes the size, scope, diversity and maintenance of Purdue's 8,000-tree arboretum, which spans the entire campus. Grounds employees in the photo are Cory Meadows, Jason Kilgour, Jonathan Snyder, Jeff Clark, Tim Detzner, Phil Richey and Scott Helmkamp.
