Women in Engineering to hold open house for grades K-8

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University's Women in Engineering Imagination, Innovation, Discovery and Design (I2D2) program will hold a free open house for elementary and middle school students Feb. 28.
I2D2 introduces students in the community to engineering through creative and innovative activities.
The event is open to girls and boys in kindergarten through eighth grade and their families. Participants will explore engineering concepts through exhibits and activities guided by engineering students.
The open house will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in Hampton Hall of Civil Engineering rooms 2118 and 2123. Hands-on activities for students and their families will be held at 10 and 11 a.m.
No pre-registration is required but anyone bringing a group of more than eight is asked to contact Sue Bayley, program coordinator, at sbayley@purdue.edu. Children must be under parental supervision during the event.
