College of Veterinary Medicine names 2012 distinguished alumni

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University's College of Veterinary Medicine honored its 2012 distinguished alumni earlier this fall.

The college awarded the distinction to Ron DeHaven and Max Rodibaugh.

* DeHaven, of Hawthorn Woods, Ill., is executive vice president of the 82,500-member American Veterinary Medical Association, and previously served as the administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal Plant Health Inspection Service. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1975.

* Rodibaugh, of Frankfort, Ind., is the founding partner of Swine Health Services in Frankfort, which was one of the first swine-only specialty practices in the United States. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1977.
