The Purdue Animal Behavior Core (PABC) is a state-of-the art facility designed to serve as a cost-effective and time-efficient center to aid investigators in need of behavioral analyses in rodents. We will provide expertise in the design, implementation and analysis of behavioral experiments in a way that suits the needs of the investigator.

  • Training and access to behavioral equipment tailored to particular research questions
  • Consultation on research design, data analysis and assistance with grant submissions involving behavioral testing
  • Full-service options in which core staff perform behavioral assays
  • Health and phenotypic assays of transgenic and knock-out/knock-in rodents performed by core staff

For first-time users, the PABC offers a free consultation to help choose which behavior test is right for your research and to help with PACUC protocol amendments. Please complete our user request form, and we will schedule a time to meet with you.
