Explaining the sound of Purdue’s ‘clapping circle’

Purdue University’s chapter of the Acoustical Society of America can now explain the sound heard when someone claps at the “clapping circle” on campus. Equally impressive, ASA members have proven the related theory of a Purdue acoustical engineering professor.

Protect Purdue video: Know your risk

Boilermakers are expected to follow the Protect Purdue Pledge and the University COVID-19 travel policy while away from campus. Stove Top stuffing

Alumna invented popular Thanksgiving side dish

If Stove Top stuffing makes an appearance at your Thanksgiving dinner, you can thank a Purdue University alumna. The late Ruth Siems, a 1953 home economics graduate, is credited with the invention of Stove Top stuffing. The product hit shelves in 1971 as a dish appropriate for Thanksgiving but also for everyday meals.
