On-campus flu shot events available this week; additional clinics scheduled

Flu shot events will be held 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sept. 28, Sept. 30, Oct. 2, Oct. 5 and Oct. 7 at the Córdova Recreational Sports Center. The University also is collaborating with external partners to offer additional onsite flu clinics throughout October. Faculty and staff should bring their PUID; students should bring their PUID and insurance information.

But what began as a way to avoid the ongoing pandemic has resulted in the incorporation of technology to help people find ways through death and loss.

Fall allergies can trigger horses’ asthma, impact performance

Just as many humans start to sneeze in the fall, horses also can be affected by seasonal allergies. Sometimes this is apparent by coughing, but other times, according to Laurent Couëtil, professor of large animal internal medicine in Purdue’s College of Veterinary Medicine, the only sign is that their performance suffers.
